Mark McKnight headshot“Meet me in St. Louis, Louis!” For some reason, that song, written for the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition (aka the St. Louis World’s Fair), keeps going through my mind as I write this invitation to you to attend our 88th Annual Meeting, which will be held February 20-24, 2019 at the St. Louis Union Station Hilton Hotel. This year’s conference will focus on the theme of diversity and inclusion in the music library, a most timely topic and one that I think all attendees will find of great value.

Of course, it takes many people to put on a conference like this. My thanks go to Program Committee Chair Anne Shelley and her team for putting together a wonderful program; to our diligent Convention Managers Wendy Sistrunk and Andrew Justice, for all their work preparing for our arrival; to Katie Buehner, our irrepressible Web Manager, for organizing the conference website; and our business office at A-R Editions, led by Jim Zychowicz, for their work in getting us all registered.

Most of all, I thank all of you who have so generously given your effort and time preparing presentations and planning committee meetings, and to our corporate patrons and sponsors for their generous support.

I can’t wait to meet you in St. Louis!
